Foster care describes the unique situation of providing temporary family-based care to a child who cannot remain in their own home due to child protection concerns or exceptional special needs.

Calgary and Area Child and Family Services has many children in need of temporary homes and families, the demand is higher than the number of foster families currently available. Calgary and Area Child and Family Services is urgently seeking special families who are interested in providing full-time, temporary care for these children.
