Calgary and Area Child and Family Services recognizes the unique needs of Aboriginal children and their families. We have a range of culturally appropriate
Intervention Services to meet those needs.
We partner with a number of contracted community agencies to provide an integrated approach to children and families. In many cases we use a traditional approach to service delivery that includes the involvement of the community in
intervention services decisions.
Note: First Nations Reserves surrounding Calgary have been delegated
to provide their own Intervention Services.

Aboriginals within Calgary and Area Child and Family Services?
A: Our Native Services program encourages the
hiring of staff with an Aboriginal background. Caseworker positions are available,
and candidates should have a Bachelor of Social Work or a community college
diploma with two years of relevant experience. Administrative and clerical positions

Centre to learn about the network of services and service providers available,

term "aboriginal" as "including Indian, Métis, and Inuit".
