The Licensed Day Care Program licenses, monitors and enforces standards of
care under the Social
Care Facilities Licensing Act and
Child Care Regulations. It ensures the health, safety and developmental needs
of children are met. The program also responds to complaints and provides information
to parents on day care facilities, helping them choose the best care for their
families.
Anyone is welcome to contact Calgary and Area Child and Family Services for information on assessing
and choosing quality childcare, or to report a complaint about
regulated child care facilities in the Calgary and Area region.
Facilities and individuals interested in operating a licensed child care facility
should visit our Day Care Licensing Program for Agencies Web page.
