The Region provides mandated children's services to Calgary and Area under the Child and Family Services Authorities Act. Mandated services include Intervention Services, Family Support for Children with Disabilities , and Child Care Services which are set out and described in the following provincial statutes:

• Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act
• Drug-Endangered Children Act (DECA)
• Protection of Sexually Exploited Children Act
• Social Care Facilities Licensing Act
• Family Support for Children with Disabilities Act
