- A comprehensive orientation and core training program for all new employees in child protection services. In your first year of employment you will be provided mandatory training, including:
- Orientations and Basic Training (3 days),
- Child Protective Services (4 weeks),
- Sexual Abuse Investigation (4 days), and
- Child and Youth Information Module Training (2 days).
- The Authority sponsors numerous workshops and seminars that staff are encouraged to attend.
- After-hour services are provided by a Central Unit, therefore staff are not expected to provide general on-call services, except for their own caseload.
- An internship program for qualified candidates in child protection services. Quality supervision.
- An opportunity to work in a Multi Service Team environment in a small office located in the community being served.
- An urban setting with all its benefits and services, within an hour of North America's great outdoor playground, the Rocky Mountains.
